Advert

St. Saviour's C.E Junior is looking to appoint a School Bursar to work, in term time only, for 32.5 hours per week.  The proposed working hours will be from 8.30am until 4.00pm, with an hour for lunch. Term time plus two weeks (the additional two weeks being very flexible).

The role encompasses financial management (including payroll) and elements of personnel.  Please see the attached Job Description and Personal Specification for more detail.  We are looking for someone who has recent experience of working in a similar role in a school and in using FMS, BPS, SIMS and payroll providers.  The current postholder will be retiring at the end of the academic year; we have already split some of the simpler personnel duties to another post.

There are three members of staff in our busy office so you would also be answering telephone calls during busy times of the day.

St. Saviour's is a friendly, welcoming school. We have a staff team with low turnover and have lovely, supportive families.  Our office staff are very experienced.  You will be joining a very capable team.  St. Saviour's was inspected by OFSTED in October 2023 and were judged to be a Good school.

Applicants are welcome to view the school prior to application - please contact the School Bursar by email for further details: finance@st-saviours.kent.sch.uk

At least one interview panel member will be trained in safer recruitment and all offers of employment are subject to an enhanced DBS check and a general internet / social media check.
