We are looking for term time Midday Pastoral Support Assistant to join our team and help in our busy lunch hall each day and at the start and end of the session you may be required to assist teaching staff with lesson support with the children and/or you may be asked to run an activity.  This could include to run games and activities for small and medium groups of children during lunchtime.  This may be a Chat and Draw style club or a physical games club each lunchtime.  From 1pm to 1.30pm you may be asked to run a pastoral, small group intervention - this could be themed on areas such as mindfulness, zones of regulatiojn or to support anxiety.

Hours are Monday to Friday,  2hrs per day between the hours of 11.30am to 1.30pm and is the perfect position if you live locally.

This position is available immediately (once safeguarding checks have been done). However if you need to give notice we are willing to wait for the right person.

As part of the team you will need to be physically fit and able to assist with putting out and clearing away of tables and benches and clearing up after lunch has finished.   During lunch you will need to be child focused ensuring children are eating their lunch, assisting them where necessary (especially the younger children), dealing with children who may be upset or anxious and to ensure that lunchtime is enjoyable for all.  Full training will be given.

This is a valuable role and one where you will be making a difference.

Salary is KR3, £11.44 per hour. This position is for term time only.  In addition to the hours above, there is always extra work in our wrap around care facility in both breakfast club, after school club and our holiday club and the role has the potential to be developed further in school.
