Our first, secondary age satellite provision will open in September 2024 at Fulston Manor School, initially with one class and gradually expanding to two classes.  The successful candidate will enjoy the exciting opportunity of establishing this brand new provision.

Our satellite classes, for pupils who benefit from being included in a mainstream environment,  will have full access to specialist approaches as on our main site on Swanstree Avenue.

We are looking for Teachers with experience in mainstream and with SEND who would be:

  • confident in leading classes away from the main Meadowfield site
  • champions for inclusion, with an understanding of how our SEN pupils could benefit from a range of inclusive activities
  • skilled in continuing already established primary satellite provision OR would embrace the opportunity to develop a new, secondary provision
  • determined to creatively overcome barriers so that the mainstream pupils and our Meadowfield pupils both benefit from learning alongside one another

At Meadowfield we work hard to ensure that all of our pupils make excellent progress, and we continually seek to improve the wellbeing of both pupils and staff. Now is an exciting time to join our Outstanding school as we expand to better meet the demand for special school places in Swale. We are incredibly proud our Ofsted report. Ofsted recognise that relationships between our staff and pupils are exceptionally positive, and we are delighted that our pupils told inspectors they are very happy at the school and really enjoy their lessons.

We encourage all of our employees to further their career development and we respect initiative and ambition. We are committed to performance management, staff training, coaching, mentoring and peer support.

If you are appointed to a teaching role with us, we guarantee that you will be well supported. You will receive a structured process of induction and will benefit from the collective support of an experienced network of colleagues. From all staff we expect commitment to the school and a desire to improve and excel. Further information about the responsibilities of the role can be found in the attached job description.
