St Katherine’s School & Nursery is a thriving primary school which has been recently graded good with many outstanding features by Ofsted.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated school Site Manager to join our team at St Katherine’s School & Nursery. As Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our fabulous grounds and share our vision for a school which the children, staff and community are proud of.  The position is a permanent, 52 weeks per year contract, with 27 days paid leave plus bank holidays. Normal working pattern is likely to be 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts between the hours of 6.30am and 6.00pm.  There will be some evenings/weekends, as agreed, for additional payment, but this can be discussed at interview.

We are looking for someone with the following characteristics:

  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Proactive approach
  • Competent in a Basic Level of Trade Standard Skills
  • Excellent Organisation Skills
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Teamwork and Communication
  • Desirable Qualifications or Experience (advantageous but ongoing training and development will also be provided):
  • Proficient in using Microsoft systems for email and communication.
  • Proven experience in a role where these skills are demonstrated either in an educational or other site setting.
  • Evidence of basic trade skills.
  • General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or an equivalent qualification.
  • First Aid at Work Certification
  • Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations and their practical application in an operational setting.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing necessary control measures.
  • Understanding of COSHH regulations and the safe handling of hazardous substances.
  • Familiarity with fire safety protocols and emergency evacuation procedures.
