Information about the school

Cross Keys Learning is a small independent school for students (aged from 11 to 17), where excellent attainment and progress for students is consistently maintained. We are situated in both Broadstairs and Womenswold, We take great pride in creating a warm and friendly environment and a positive culture for learning so that our students are given opportunities to excel. We place great emphasis on the social and emotional development of our students, alongside the encouragement of a love for learning so they can achieve their full potential academically. High emphasis is placed on student and staff well-being to make Cross Keys Learning a great place to be.

We are an established and well respected provision offering education to students aged 11-17, and the school has very recently been rated 'GOOD' by Ofsted. Our provision is designed to offer learning within small groups (5-8 per group) and we offer a broad and balanced alternative curriculum. We support students with a wide range of needs: ASD/ social and communication difficulties, students unable to manage a mainstream environment due to high levels of school-based anxiety or school refusal, students that require an alternative curriculum/ pathway as their cognitive ability or school experiences have resulted in them being significantly behind ARE (age related expectations) and students that may have low self-esteem and confidence.

Our mission is to work together continuing to make our school a safe and secure environment where we are aware of our own and each other’s well-being, and have a pride in our community and our learning, so we can all reach our potential.
