SCHOOL NURSE (KENT RANGE 8) REQUIRED FOR TERM 5 

35 hours per week (8.00 a.m. – 3.30 p.m.) with some flexibility

Term Time Only plus 3 additional weeks

This is an exciting opportunity for a School Nurse to join an ambitious and committed staff at St George’s Church of England Foundation School.  We are looking for an excellent School Nurse to join St George’s and help develop an environment that promotes healthy living and responds to the needs of the members of St George’s learning community.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for providing medical support to pupils on a daily basis across both sites;
  • Be responsible for the writing, monitoring and reviewing of Healthcare Plans (HCPs) and Personal Emergency Evaluation Plans (PEEPs) and ensure that these pupils needs are met;
  • Meet with parents and other agencies in regard to HCPs, PEEPs and healthy living as required;
  • Maintain accurate medical audit, allergy, immunity and PEEP databases;
  • Be part of the extended Safeguarding Team.

To be successful in this role you will have the:

  • Relevant nursing/healthcare qualifications and experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of health needs of children, young people and adults
  • Ability to engage and communicate with all appropriate stakeholders and understand the need for confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritise appropriately, remain calm in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy in all areas.
