We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Assistant Head Teacher, Pathways to take effect in September 2024. 

This is an exciting opportunity to both lead and be key to the progression of our Pathways programmes across the school by taking an already thriving culture and providing the strategic and operational direction to maintain continuous improvement amongst the Pathways programmes.

In addition to the duties associated with being a member of the School Leadership Team, specific responsibilities will be: -

  • To determine the strategic development of delivering a broad, sequential and coherent curriculum
  • To be responsible for pupil behaviour within each Pathway including both the management and intervention
  • To be responsible for the monitoring and improvements of each Pathway pupil attendance
  • To lead by example in setting a strong commitment to raising a culture where pupils experience a positive and enriching school life
  • To take a strategic role in the development and delivery of all SEMH interventions impacting on all pupil groups across the school working with the SEND staff team
  • Deliver whole school and specific training as required
  • To work with and support the Governing Body of the school
  • From time to time any other task that may be required by the Head Teacher

The role would suit a candidate with experience of teaching pupils and/or leading in a Special Educational Needs setting in particular with SEMH needs and have experience of managing behaviour.
