Borden Grammar School is seeking an Assistant Headteacher to join us from September 2024. They should be a dynamic leader who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people from all backgrounds. They must be a team player with a proven track record of improving standards, developing minds and making a difference.

The Trustees are seeking to appoint a proven leader committed to nurturing a school ethos that inspires all members of the school community to reach their full potential, in a supportive and caring environment.

We seek an Assistant Head,                    

  • with proven experience and success in leadership
  • with an ability to inspire and motivate their colleagues, working well as a team
  • who is reflective, passionate about learning and is driven to help develop students
  • who never gives up and always believes we can improve the life chances of young people from all backgrounds

Borden Grammar School has students aged 11-18 with currently 932 students on roll (225 in Sixth Form). This is an exciting time for the school. Under new leadership the school received a very Good 2021 Ofsted inspection report, significantly improved results and is in the process of  increasing our admission numbers, with the local authority supporting an accompanying significant building expansion.

Borden is a vibrant and purposeful grammar school for boys. The school is part of a thriving post-16 partnership and has female students in the Sixth Form.
