We are seeking to recruit an experienced, passionate, and effective practitioner, to join our successful and dedicated team of ASD specialist staff.

Our school has an established Specialist Resource Provision, where children are nurtured and educated in a way that matches their needs.  We are looking for a person who has the relevant experience and skills to work with our pupils to enable them to accomplish their personal targets.

The role will be primarily based in the SRP, linked to one child. However, there will be the opportunity to work with other children and be supported by other colleagues in the SRP.  This role is suited to someone who can be flexible, resilient and, has a positive outlook and attitude. This is a temporary post pending a review of the SRP pupil numbers at the end of the academic year and associated funding.

You will be required to work 30 hours per week for 38 weeks per year.  

The team are highly skilled in adapting learning and delivery to enable all children to succeed, and this career opportunity would enable the right candidate to work alongside the current staff to continue to develop outstanding practice.

  • Proven ability to support pupils with ASD effectively through the use of dynamic & engaging techniques.
  • The ability to work with a team in a responsive and flexible manner, responding to the instruction and advice of the Lead Teacher.
  • Ability to reflect, adapt and see solutions in own practice.
  • The use of independent initiative when supporting pupils.
  • To share ideas for the adjustment of learning to enable pupils to access the learning effectively.
  • To build effective trusting relationships with parents, pupils and staff.
  • A willingness and interest in using CPD to further develop career.
