Title: SEND Class Teacher and Phonics and Early Reading Lead

Hours: 27.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Contract: Permanente

We are looking for someone to take on the role of Phonics and Early Reading Lead. This post is an excellent opportunity for someone to work in a leadership role. The right candidate will be an exceptional, passionate teacher who can lead by example, with the ability to inspire, motivate and support our pupils and staff, having a track record delivering outstanding lessons, raising standards and making a positive impact on teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will have the ability to coach and mentor members of the team in order to drive up standards of Phonics and early reading. They will also have an understanding of school improvement strategies, together with experience of leading curriculum developments

Danecourt Special School is part of the Maritime Multi-Academy Trust, an innovative partnership of schools in Greenwich, Bexley, Kent and Medway . Our schools transform through collaboration and an entrepreneurial curriculum which equips children with life skills. We are a special school catering for primary aged children who have special educational needs. The children who attend Danecourt have a wide breadth of needs including complex learning difficulties and autism.
