Office Manager

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.

Contract: Permanente

Anticipated start date: 6th November 2023

We have a great opportunity for an Office Manager to join our friendly and supportive school administration team. We are looking for a dynamic, committed and friendly person to be in this front-facing role in our school, working as part of the admin team. You may also be required, on occassions, to work at our satellite provisions.

This is a varied role, where you will provide a friendly, welcoming, first point of contact for parents/careers, visitors and staff. You will have the opportunity to gain a wide range of administration experiences whilst working as part of the admin team. You will be dealing with all manner of enquiries in person, via telephone or email and therefore it is essential you have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to remain calm, professional and patient, in order to maintain the smooth and efficient running of the reception areas.

It is important that you have good communication skills and can effectively multi-task. You must be able to respect confidential information relating to staff, pupils and families.

The successful candidate will have:-  

  • Lead and manage the admin team.
  • Be able to plan, organise and prioritise with having an understanding of safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality. Liaise and communicate with pupils, staff, parents and outside agencies
  • Have a pleasant and friendly manner as well as being assertive
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Have the ability to multi-task and respect confidential information relating to staff, pupils and families, working alongside the school’s senior leadership team
  • Offer good communication skills and be proficient with Google.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt is always essential in school and you will need to become confident in using our management information systems. Training will be available for this.
  • Have a skill set that includes: attention to detail, excellent literacy and numeracy skills and competency in using IT systems.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and be up to date with 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' legislation.
  • It is also essential to have good sense of humour!
