Information about the school

The core purpose of Rainham Mark Education Trust is to cultivate wisdom, character and strength in students so they can understand, celebrate and shape the world in which they live.

Together, our ambitions for the children in our local community continue to build on current success, and raise the bar further, such that the life chances of each child in our care are maximised through a deeply inclusive education, routinely high expectations, and a range of opportunities that seek to embed a love of learning.

We are a family of three Academies in Medway, compromising of Rainham Mark Grammar School - Ofsted ‘Good’ May 2022, Riverside Primary School and Nursery - Ofsted ‘Good’ November 2019 and Twydall Primary School and Nursery - Ofsted ‘Good’ May 2023.

Rainham Mark Education Trust (RMET) is in a very exciting stage of its development, having recently realigned and strengthened our central team, relaunched our vision and established an ambitious future strategy.

The benefits of working for us include:

  • Support from a network of senior leaders and teachers within the school and our Trust

  • Regular planned opportunities to collaborate and share best practice

  • Working with a team of friendly, dedicated and hardworking staff and Trustees

  • An outstanding offer of CPD opportunities

  • A sharp focus on staff well-being

As a Trust we are dedicated to ensuring the safety and protection of all individuals under its care. This commitment to safeguarding is shared by all the academies within RMET, as we strive to promote the welfare of our pupils. We require all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment, and we therefore implement a thorough recruitment process across all academies that aligns with the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines. This process includes conducting online checks on shortlisted candidates and all employment offers are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, references and where applicable a prohibition from teaching check.

We are also committed to promoting equality and diversity in all aspects of school life. We believe that everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other characteristic. We celebrate the diversity of our school community and are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, safe and able to achieve their full potential. We believe that this approach not only supports our students to achieve their best, but also prepares them for life in a diverse and interconnected world. If you share our commitment to equality and diversity, we welcome your application to join our team.
