Following the successful internal promotion of the current post holder, we are looking to appoint a KS2 Teaching Assistant. The job involves supporting pupils in KS2 in the classroom and at lunch time. This role is currently in Year 6.  

The successful applicant will be employed on a permanent contract for 32 hours per week over the five school days. This is currently arranged as 8:35 – 15:15, 5 days a week, with 30 minutes for lunch. There is also a 16:25 finish on one of the days to enable the TA to attend the year group planning meeting. This day is flexible and will be arranged alongside the Year 6 teachers.

Please note that this is term time only; and the successful applicant will be paid on Kent Range 3 pro rata. Appointment will be from as soon as possible.

Sandling is a popular, high achieving, 2 form entry primary school in the north of Maidstone.

The school is well resourced with many facilities including: a library, computing suite and extensive grounds with a wildlife and outdoor learning area. We offer a wide variety of clubs for children to enrich their learning.

We had a one day OFSTED inspection in Feb 2020 with a good outcome which confirmed our high expectations and standards.

With easy access from the M20, and being situated less than 3 miles from Maidstone centre, the school is easily accessible by road.
