We are seeking to appoint an assistant to oversee the student support room, assisting students needing medical support.  The successful candidate will also provide some administrative support to our pastoral team.

The working day will be from 9 am to 3.30 pm with 30 minutes lunch break, the working hours per week will be 30, term time only (38 weeks per year). The pay for this position will be KCC Kent Range 4, which is currently starting salary £13,441 (FTE £21,389 to £22,493). We can offer some flexibility to the working hours such as 27.5 hours working week or perhaps moving the start/finish time to help meet other commitments of the successful applicant. If you are looking for a slight change to the stipulated hours, please mention this in your application.

You would be responsible for supporting students when they report to the medical room for assistance. You will also carry out basic admin duties.

We need an excellent listener and communicator who will be required to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including parents, guardians, and outside agencies. The post holder will always need to act with confidentiality and integrity.

Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School is a highly respected selective Voluntary Controlled Girls’ Grammar School that places students’ academic success on a par with their wellbeing, creating a unique learning community where every individual matters. Students attending the school are aged between 11-18 years and the school has a student roll of about 1,300 students (with approx. 400 pupils in our mixed Sixth Form).
