We are seeking a Midday Meals Supervisor to work every day in term time except staff training days. This role is for one hour a day which will fall within the time frame 11.45am-1pm.  The exact timing will depend on which class you are placed in.  The Midday Meals Supervisor team are very experienced and friendly and will welcome you.  Training will be given. 

A Midday Meals Supervisor (MMS) has sole charge of a class during the lunch break.  They assist the children to open packets of food or use a knife and fork and they clear tables and plates.  They supervise the children whilst playing, encouraging co-operation and ensuring children are safe and happy.

You must be patient, calm and able to think on their feet.  You must be vigilant at all times and work well in a team. You must be able to interact with children on their level and be firm but kind.

You will provide consistency and routine and carry out minor first aid.  You must be sensitive to children's  needs but also ensure that routines are followed.  You must be adaptable and be able to respond quickly to changing situations. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with or supervising children.

The successful candidate will have to be committed to the safeguarding of children and work to engage with appropriate training to support this.

Canterbury Road Primary School is a one form entry primary school close to Sittingbourne town centre and within easy reach of the M2, M20 and the train station.
