Cherry Orchard Primary Academy has a fantastic opportunity to appoint a Teaching Assistant (1:1) to join and support our team within our highly successful academy that opened in 2017. This role is ideal for those who genuinely have a passion for helping children within a primary setting. 

Our successful candidate will be working with a child with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis, therefore experience working within a SEN setting is desired.

The basis for this position will be on a fixed term contract until February 2024 in the first instance, working 32.5 hours per week, during term time only and offers an actual salary of £16,720 per annum (£22,714 full-time equivalent).

Leigh Academy Cherry Orchard is a two-form entry primary academy for children aged 3 to 11, located in the heart of Ebbsfleet Garden City. Since opening in 2017, it has grown steadily and now operates at full capacity from Nursery through Year 6, including a specialist centre for speech, communication, and language needs. The academy offers a high-quality, inclusive education within modern facilities, aiming to inspire a lifelong love of learning. It fosters a safe, supportive environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. With a focus on resilience, motivation, and consistent pastoral care, the academy promotes strong values and collaboration among staff to ensure the best outcomes for all learners.
