Are you looking to start your career in a nurturing environment with lovely pupils and friendly, dedicated staff? Or perhaps you would like a change of setting, a new challenge or to develop your career? We are looking for a nursery teacher to join our team in January working 4 days a week in a pattern of your choice.  This post is based at Newington in our newly refurbished, purpose built nursery building which includes a dedicated lunch space (so provision can be left set up) and extensive outdoor space. We have mainly 3 year olds but have the capacity to take 2 year olds as well.

This vacancy is suitable for an ECT as we have expert mentors who can support you. But equally we are willing to pay for experience and would welcome applications from more experienced teachers. The nursery team is well established and effective so we are happy to consider candidates with only KS1 experience for this position who are willing to 'learn on the job' and transfer their skills to a nursery setting.

As a church school our vision is about 'realising the God-given potential in everyone'.  We welcome applications from people of all faiths or none but ask that you support our Christian values - welcoming, forgiving, generous and flourishing.

You will

-be passionate about the early years and understand its importance as the foundation for all learning in school

-be happy to liaise closely with parents and able to form positive partnerships

-know what excellent teaching is and be committed to continuous professional development and improvement in order to achieve this

-be willing to take part in all aspects of school life including outdoor learning

-be committed to adding value to the lives of our pupils, through planning engaging experiences and broadening horizons as you lead your class on a learning adventure.

We welcome visits to the school and you are assured a warm welcome. We offer a wonderful rural setting, well-resourced classrooms and polite pupils who are eager to learn.  For an informal conversation regarding the post please call Rachel Ward the Nursery Manager on 01795 842300 option 3.

Please use Kent's Online Application Form if you are interested in this vacancy.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This post involves working with children and therefore if successful you will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service records check at an enhanced level and have satisfactory references. We are committed to equality and diversity in employment practice and service delivery.
