The University of Kent Academies Trust is seeking to recruit a proactive Speech and Language Therapist to work at Brompton Academy.  The post is suitable for an experienced Practitioner competency. There will be on-site supervision with the Lead Speech and Language Therapist.

The role involves working within our current inclusion team to deliver a specialist integrated speech, language and communication service to secondary aged SEND students. The SLT would work jointly with and be supported by the Lead SLT/Therapy lead as part of this role, which is a flexible, part-time role, 3 days per week, term time only.  The salary for this role is equivalent to the upper end of NHS band 6 and the lower end of Band 7.

The role of the SLT is vital for a significant number of our students, particularly for those students with EHCPs and/or underlying SLCN in mainstream and in our specialist provision, the Eliot Centre which is based at Brompton Academy. Working with the therapy lead, you will have the opportunity to develop special areas of interest in SLCN and will be supported to access suitable CPD to develop your role.
