Early Years Practitioner (Maternity Cover)

Job Summary

We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner (Maternity Cover) with a relevant Level 3 qualification to join the small friendly team at our term time only pre- school in the village of Wye near Ashford. The role is term time only, for 39 weeks of the year, involving shift work between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Job share or part time hours may be considered for the right person.

Early Years Practitioner Salary: starting at £NMW per hour, dependent upon experience and qualifications - both of which are highly valued in our setting and rewarded accordingly.

You will need:

  • A relevant NVQ level 3 qualification in early years.
  • To have relevant experience with good knowledge of the EYFS and early years development.
  • To be able to care for a small group of children, offering them a relevant and stimulating learning environment.
  • Be willing to contribute to our weekly parent and toddler group.
  • To be happy to work as part of a small team, being flexible, hardworking and caring.

Wye Under Fives Pre-School have been proudly supporting families in the local area of Wye for over 30 years. We are a small independent charity, supported by our volunteer committee. We are a pack away setting based in the small village hall in Wye, we are open for 38 weeks of the year 8.45am to 3.15pm. We care for children aged 2 years to 5 years old. We also run a weekly parent and toddler group for local families.
