We are a large primary school with 630 pupils and over 100 staff. The school is warm, friendly and welcoming and the staff team works closely together to support all of our pupils.

We currently have a new opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Nurture Teaching Partner to work 5 days per week. 

Term time only (38 weeks per year), approximately 31.25 hours per week to include half an hour lunch duty each day. Exact hours to be confirmed on appointment.

Salary KR3:  

This post will be for a period of one year initially.

Applicants should have experience of working with children and will be required to work in the Nurture intervention classroom, classes throughout the school, with small groups or provide one to one support.  An understanding of the principles of nurture and experience of working wth children with social, emotional and mental health needs, is desirable but not essential. Applicants will need to demonstrate empathy and understanding towards pupils who face considerable challenges in school and who may also have experienced adversity and trauma.  Full Nurture UK training will be provided.

The successful candidates will assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the Headteacher, SENDCo and Class Teachers. Teaching Partner posts include supervision of children for part of the lunch break.

Candidates should be in sympathy with the ethos of a church school.
