TEACHING ASSISTANT - SENCO

Kent Range 4

34.5 hours per week - Term Time 

An exciting new role has become available for a Teaching Assistant who will support the progress and attainment of students with a wide range of SEN needs. The post holder will be required to exercise their professional skills and judgement to carry out the duties set out below: 

  • Support specific areas of improvement and development (specifically developing provision for students with SEND) 
  • Play a key role in creating a positive culture and ethos, enabling students and staff to develop and maintain positive attitudes towards each other, the environment and the community
  • Provide a wide range of regular opportunities for students to work in teams, developing independance, resilience and confidence in becoming effective learners, in preparation for adult life
  • Liaise effectively with key stakeholders to ensure continued progress for pupils with SEND

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Admin skills preferred with knowledge of Word, Excel and in house MIS
  • Experience of working within a school environment 
  • Ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative
  • Be flexible and adaptable
