We are looking for an enthusiastic, engaging and creative Teacher of French or Spanish. Applicants will have experience in teaching students of all abilities and supporting them to reach their academic potential.

About the role

You will be joining a well-established and friendly team of specialist teachers of Languages who work collaboratively to ensure quality first teaching is the priority for all students. Teachers of modern foreign languages teach both KS3 and KS4. Students study AQA GCSE at Key Stage 4 and a comprehensive Key Stage 3 scheme is in place with shared resources.

As a school we are proud to offer our KS3 students timetabled enrichment each week. All staff are expected to offer an activity for this Enrichment which could be related to the teacher’s specialist subject or an area in which they are passionate about. This is an excellent opportunity for both staff and students to benefit from a wider curriculum and gives an opportunity for staff to promote our school ethos with students beyond the boundaries of their classrooms.

This role will also include being responsible for the pastoral care of a Mentor group.

St Augustine Academy is a non-selective 11-16 school in Maidstone, Kent which benefits from excellent resources and an exciting and vibrant learning environment. We are currently graded Ofsted Good which we achieved in February 2018.
