Chilmington Green Primary School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking Class Teaching Assistant to support children in class alongside the Teacher

This is a great opportunity to join the fantastic team at Chilmington and make a real difference to the children. 

We are looking for teaching assistants who:

  • Recognise that our current education system needs to radically change to better prepare our young people for the 21st century
  • Are able to take advantage of the latest technology to support modern, 21st century learning
  • Want to develop their own practice to meet the needs of an evolving school system
  • Want to develop children as life-long, curious learners
  • Want to build strong relationships with children that facilitate their learning
  • Want to teach in enabling environments that promote flexibility, collaboration and independence

We are looking for someone who can bring motivation, energy and excellent communication skills to the role.  You will play a vital role in supporting our children with their educational, physical, emotional and social development, and play an active role alongside the teacher and SENCO in shaping and supporting the learning of the children.

This role is:

  • Term time only working
  • 30hrs per week
  • Monday to Friday - 8:45am- 3:30pm
  • Paid at pro rata'd KR3 - approximately £13720 gross (43 paid weeks includes 5 weeks holiday pay)

Information about the school

Chilmington Green Primary School is a large primary school on the new Chilmington Green development in Ashford.

It is operating as a one form entry school for children of primary age (4–11-year-olds), with the exception of Reception and year 1, which allows two forms of entry, allowing for 60 Year R pupils to join the school each year. The newly opened school nursery now inhabits a dedicated space for up to 26 nursery aged children (2, 3 and 4-year-olds) per session and also includes a Specialist Resource Provision for up to 14 pupils who have an Education Health Care Plan for Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

The school is a member of The Stour Academy Trust, a forwarding thinking Multi Academy Trust of primary schools that are transforming that way that children learn in order to better prepare them for the 21st century.
