Advert

In response to an exciting phase of development and expansion at Foreland Fields School, we have created a new role of Classroom Support Assistant and we are looking to appoint a number of these across the school from the beginning of September, or earlier if possible.

Classroom Support Assistants work Monday to Friday from 10am until 2pm and they are responsible for supporting the smooth running of the classroom and wider learning environment by carrying out duties that include assisting with supervision of pupils, assisting with eating and drinking and personal care and maintaining stock and resources (Please see Classroom Support Assistant Job Description).

Whilst relevant qualifications and experience would be an advantage, they are not essential (please refer to the Classroom Support Assistant Person Specification). We will provide you with a full week of induction training, which includes Moving and Handling, Makaton, Pool Evacuation, Behaviour and Safeguarding Training and our friendly staff team are here to support you, as you develop new skills. Classroom Support Assistants will also be required to attend 5 training days per year.

If you are looking for a new challenge and you are keen to support children and young people with their development and learning, we are interested in hearing from you.

We strongly recommend that candidates have a look at our website www.foreland.kent.sch.uk prior to applying for this post. You will find useful information regarding the curriculum and the strategies that we use to support teaching and learning.

Candidates are welcome to contact Sarah Thorp (Deputy Headteacher) during school hours by telephone (01843 863891) if they would like to learn more about this exciting opportunity.
