Office Manager 

37 Hours per week – Term Time Only + 5 Inset Days per year 

After almost 20 years, the guru in our office is retiring. There are big boots that need filling!  

Therefore, this is an exciting opportunity to fill those boots and become part of our professional, friendly team at Frittenden CofE Primary School. We are looking to appoint someone who has a "can do" attitude and is flexible, practical, pro-active, energetic and diligent. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a school environment, however this is not essential. This is a key role within the school and the ideal candidate will have: 

  • Knowledge of SIMS, FMS and BPS; 
  • Knowledge of IT systems such as O365, Outlook, Word and Excel; 
  • Knowledge of the admissions process from initial enquiry and registration to admission including collation and distribution of relevant records and paperwork; 
  • Responsibility for promoting high levels of attendance and punctuality by students and to maintain records both manual and electronic relating to these areas; 
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding; 
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to develop good relationships with pupils, parents, staff and visitors 
  • An excellent eye for detail 

You will be responsible for the day to day management of the school office, including administration of personnel, pupil records, premises and finances. 

You will need to work as part of a small whole school team, liaising with the Headteacher and Governing Body, whilst also being able to use your own initiative and work alone.  

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and an easy-going mannerSomeone who is able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure and an attitude and willingness to deal with the ‘day to day’ occurrences in a school office. 

A working knowledge of school management systems, including SIMs and FMS is preferred, although training may be offered to the right candidateSimilarly, an understanding of Admissions and Attendance is beneficial.

Information about the school

Frittenden Church of England Primary School is a popular small school in the heart of the village. Whilst we benefit from an idyllic location in the heart of the countryside, we are easily accessible from Maidstone, Ashford and Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding villages. We currently have 101 children on roll divided into 4 classes, with an intake of 15 into the Reception class and mixed classes thereafter.

As a church school we enjoy a close relationship with St Mary's Church. We promote our Christian values of Compassion, Joy and Respect throughout our school.
