We have a rare opportunity to join our team in our EYFS at Swingate Primary School as a Nursery TA.

We are seeking to appoint  a qualified Level 3 practitioner to teach in our successful and popular school-based nursery.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and caring practitioner to join our fantastic team to plan, create and implement engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.

You will be responsible for observing, tracking and reflecting on learning of children in your group as well as developing and maintaining a strong parent/carer partnership to support children’s development in nursery. This is an exciting, yet challenging opportunity which will enable the successful applicant to work with an incredible team of passionate Level 3 Teaching Assistants who work hard every single day to provide the highest quality care for all of our Rainbow children.

All practitioners working in the school promote and ensure children’s welfare, protection and health and safety. Safeguarding procedures and policies will be followed at all times.

Our nursery is open from 9am – 3pm, offering 15 and 30 hour funded places as well as extra hours to those who would like it. Our nursery is very popular within the local community.

 We want an inspirational professional who believes in our character values of ‘Resilience, Empathy, Bravery and Responsibility’ to join our team to help our children to grow and develop with curiosity and have a love of learning in a safe and stimulating environment.

What we’re looking for:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Passion for making learning fun, engaging and understand children’s next steps.
  • Ability to build strong positive relationships with colleagues and parents/carers.
  • Good understanding of the EYFS Development Matters Framework.
  • Good understanding of how to develop the inside and outside environment.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding and requirements for working with children.

 

The role may include providing pupil supervision cover for some break and lunch duties.
