You will work with the SLT to ensure the offer and delivery of an innovative curriculum, working together to provide the highest possible standards of teaching and learning. 

The role is mainly non-classroom based, although your responsibilities will include some teaching. Suitable for candidates who have proven leadership experience, who are excited by innovative practice and developing ideas.

The ideal candidate:

  • Have a professionally recognised teaching qualification
  • Understanding of Independent School Standards
  • Evidence of practice and supporting progression
  • Have a thorough understanding of the Ofsted inspection process and an ability to work across the full remit of the school and provide a high level of accurate and effective reporting
  • An experienced practitioner with the ability to plan, deliver and design curricula to broaden and expand the school offer
  • Be resourceful, innovative, and able to embrace change
  • Be able to accept challenges, inspire and motivate others
  • Have proven leadership experience and be passionate about driving standards forward
  • Demonstrate experience of working within a specialist SEND environment with a good understanding of SEMH, ASD and associated complex needs
  • A dynamic, proactive, and creative thinker who is passionate about achieving the best outcomes
  • Maintain and develop the excellent relationships within the school
  • Rise to the challenge of monitoring and evaluating all aspects of school life
  • Build, communicate, and implement a shared vision which expresses core values and moral purpose to support the school in attaining excellence

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced education practitioner looking to make the next move in their career.

Supported by an executive team the post holder will support the Teacher in Charge to oversee the day-to-day operational management of the school and be pivotal in developing and establishing a shared vision and strategic plan.

Situated in Margate, Parkview Academy was established in 2017 for students aged 11 to 16, who have experienced learning difficulties associated with SEMH.

Maple Tree Primary School is a unique, family orientated school for pupils aged 7 to 11, who have SEMH difficulties, as well as other complex learning needs.
