Are you looking for a new challenge?

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and outstanding teacher to join our school for September 2022.  The role will be supporting pupils with SEMH/ASC needs and teaching a full curriculum.  The ideal person should have excellent pastoral skills,  resislience, determination to help remove barriers to learning and a good sense of humour.

You would be joining an enthusiastic and hardworking team who believe that every child can achieve and reach their potential.

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged.  Please contact the headteacher robert.page@st-anthonys.kent.sch.uk  to arrange a visit.

Information about the school

St. Anthony’s is a designated KCC special school for pupils with an EHCP with a main need of SEMH and/or ASC in KS2 -KS4. We are a partner school in Kent Special Educational Needs Trust.

The school works to meet and support a wide range of barriers to learning. Our children and young people have high levels of social emotional issues and communication difficulties, staff need to be able to build positive relationships with them and provide a diverse and stimulating education, in a supportive and safe environment.

Most pupils come to the school with negative previous school experiences and traditionally from a background with high levels of deprivation. To achieve positive outcomes for our pupils we place a great deal of emphasis on individual programmes within small group settings. Past OfSTED reports, parental feedback and other professionals agree that we are very successful with our pupils; our skills in building positive relationships with children and young people helps us reinforce this message.
