Are you an engaging Construction Leader/Tutor? Can you motivate your learners to reach their full potential and deliver outstanding?

Kite College is an Independent Specialist Post-16 College in Sittingbourne, providing specialist supprted education and training for young people with learning difficulties of small class size of 6-8 learners.

We are looking to develop our new construction curriculum area further and are looking to appoint a qualified and experienced construction tutor who can inspire and provide both knowledge and the skills needed for our learners to be able to successfully move into employment within the construction industry 

This fantastic opportunity will allow you to be a part of Kent’s only specialised SEN college for young people with SEND, and to develop the Multi Skills and bricklaying programmes, which includes seperate workshops offering Multi-Skills, Carpentry, Brickwork, and Heating and Plumbing.

To be successful in the role we are looking for someone who can:

  • Motivate and support learners with SEND, ASD and SEMH
  • Develop and deliver outstanding lessons
  • Produce high quality programmes of study in all areas of the construction area, including, planning, development, teaching and assessment, schemes of work and quality.
  • Conduct demonstrations and supervise practical work to reinforce learning
  • Act as an academic and pastoral tutor to learners
  • Train and engage learners on a range of topics and tasks relevant to the awarding body
