Young Risers Pre-School is looking for an experienced and dynamic childcare manager, to manage a small committee run pre-school in the heart of Istead Rise community.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about children's learning and able to enhance their learning through play.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily running of the setting working alongside the deputy manager and the committee.

The successful candidate shoule be hardworking, passionate about working with children, inspire, motivate and lead a team of childcare practitioners, while catering to the individual needs of the children, from diverse backgrounds and culture including children with special education needs.

The core aspects of the role are detailed in the attached job description, other details are as follows:

  • Hours are Monday to Friday 8am-4.00pm - Term time only
  • Pay £14.50 per hour currently, paid pro-rota
  • Company pension available

  • Team building days organised by the manager, have done paddleboarding in past.
  • Opportunity for the pre-school to pay for Level 4 qualification should the successful candiate wish to further their qualifications.

 

Information about the school

We are a charity run Pre-School based in the community of Istead Rise, providing enriched learning for 2-4 year olds though the Hygge approach, with a home from home feel, learning through nature and play. We are term time only Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm. We are a small friendly team who want to the give the children the best learning environment. We are a Setting that ensures our teaching and learning through play provide children with life skills and independence and they can take as long as they need to master these skills. We are very keen on outdoor learning and its advantages to childrens learning and well-being and so have made Forest School a big part of our practice.
