Singlewell Primary School is looking to appoint an experienced, hardworking, reliable, helpful, patient person who would like to be part of a busy, friendly and supportive team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the safety and security of the whole site. This position will suit someone who takes pride in their work, is organised, a problem solver and enjoys the challenge of a school environment. Experience within a similar position is desirable but not essential.

  • A permanent full-time position, 52 weeks per annum
  • 37.5 hours per week, five days, Monday to Friday
  • Hours: Monday to Friday – 7.00am to 10.30am and 2.00pm to 6.00pm (Hours may be negotiable)

The Site Manager plays a critical role in the day-to-day running of the premises and will be able to work cooperatively with all members of the school community to ensure high standards are maintained at all times. 

The successful candidate will possess good admin and IT skills and be able to manage and maintain a site and be able to prioritise using own initiative when handling day to day matters. There will need to be a degree of flexibility around key events in the school calendar e.g: parents’ evenings, sports day etc.

The successful candidate will be subject to a fully enhanced DBS check prior to employment start date.

Singlewell school has a warm, family feel and is situated in a pleasant, leafy site on the outskirts of Gravesend. The school has been expanded to two form entry from September 2016 and had a new building constructed. We are now at full capacity with two classes in each year group from Reception through to Year 6. All classes have support assistants. We are very lucky to have modern buildings and facilities and spacious grounds.

Our Ofsted inspection recognised that Singlewell is a Good school. Progress and attainment are high across the school and teaching is good. It stated that attendance is high, behaviour is good and children enjoy coming to school. Pupils are eager to learn and work enthusiastically together. There are very positive relationships between pupils and staff.
