St. John’s is excited to announce that we are looking to recruit a talented and dynamic KS 1 Phase Leader, starting in September 2023.

St John’s is a Single Academy Trust with Voluntary Aided status. We welcome candidates who value our Christian ethos while contributing individual flair to our fantastic school.

The successful candidate will have plenty of drive, creativity and energy to join a very talented team. They must have super inter-personal skills and the ability to build excellent relationships across the whole school community.

This teaching position is a full-time, permanent role starting 1st September 2023. Remuneration is within the MPS / UPS scale + TLR. Information about the school

St. John’s School is a very successful ‘stand-alone’ two form entry Church of England Primary Academy. We have an excellent reputation in our community as a school where our pupils enjoy a nurturing, respectful, fun and friendly place to learn. We take pride in our high achievements and as a school we are passionate about the environment; this has been recognised by Eco Schools through being awarded the prestigious Green Flag.

We opened in September 1987 and serve primarily the Grove Green and Bearsted Park areas. Our most recent full Ofsted inspection (July 2015) rated us Outstanding in all areas; in 2019 we were also rated highly in our Church Schools inspection as well as by Ofsted in their inspection of our History curriculum.

St. Johns is well resourced and set in extensive grounds where pupils can enjoy plenty of outdoors space to play and learn. We are supported by a strong governing body and have an active ‘Friends’ parents association, who bring our school together to host events throughout the year.
