About this Role

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly, capable, hard working person as a part-time Caretaker to work within our Premises team. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have high standards and a good level of practical skills
  • Be an organised and self-motivated team member, able to prioritise and multi-task.
  • Have great communication skills.
  • Have a flexible approach to work, able to work extra hours occasionally and prepared to be outdoors in all weathers

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, security and cleanliness of the school premises and site in the mornings, supporting the Premises Manager to ensure that staff, children and visitors to the school are safe at all times. The role involves liaising with contractors and suppliers involved in the repair and upkeep of the building and site, and may involve occasionally working a small number of additional hours.  We are therefore looking for someone who is flexible and is able to be at hand when required. A positive working ethos is essential and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.  Our new caretaker can look forward to being very well supported in their professional development.

Hours/Week:                                       20 hours a week (7-11am, Mon-Fri, throughout the year)

Grade/Pay:                                          Bexley 04 / NJC3-4 (depending on experience)                                                                                 Pro rata salary £13,340 - £13,560.
