An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Assistant and Lettings Support to join Trinity’s busy, dedicated facilities team.

We are looking for a Facilities Assistant/Lettings Support to work on a 3 week rotational basis covering earlies, mid and late shifts including weekends.

We are looking for a flexible, skilled, Facilities assistant who is hardworking, organised and enjoys a busy varied day. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in a school environment. The role will include basic plumbing, carpentry, landscaping and cleaning so experience in these sectors would be of benefit. As part of the role you will be required to cover as Banksman during periods of absence to monitor and ensure safe movements of all buses whilst on site in the school car park.

Your role in Lettings Support will be customer facing with our hirers using the school facilities. This will involve preparing rooms that are being hired, meeting new Hirers and showing them the facilities, checking on Lettings throughout their time on site and then clearing up and preparing rooms for the next day.

You will be the kind of person who takes pride in ensuring the school is clean, tidy and a safe environment and wants to provide an outstanding customer service for students, staff and visitors. You will constantly strive to ensure that the school is immaculate. You will have good ICT skills and able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and a job ticket system confidently, although training for this will be provided.

We have a new building with new technology and are in the process of reviewing school sustainability and upgrading the current infrastructure. External training will be provided on Ipaf, Pasma, and basic electrics/plumbing/carpentry.

Information about the school

Trinity is a growing, non-denominational Christian free school based in Sevenoaks, Kent. We are a single academy trust which operates under the sponsorship of 30 local churches in the Sevenoaks area. Trinity was founded in 2013 by a committed group of local people, many of whom are governors of the school. We moved into our state-of-the-art building in September 2016 with years 7,8,9 and 10 (470 students). At full capacity we will accommodate 1090 students, including our new Sixth Form, which opened in September 2018. We are a 11-18, non-selective, mixed school with six forms of entry and we attract many pupils who reach the standard to pass the 11 Plus. Half the intake have a faith reference.

Students at Key Stage 3 follow a broad, balanced curriculum and are allocated extra time for English and Maths. At Key Stage 4 we offer a personalised curriculum, working together with students and parents, to ensure that students are following a Key Stage 4 programme of study that is wholly appropriate to their needs. The option blocks at Key Stage 4 are intended to facilitate this and all students are encouraged to consider taking the English Baccalaureate. The curriculum allows students to progress at the appropriate rate in all subject areas.

We are delighted to have opened our new Sixth Form in September 2018, with the capacity to accommodate 190 students. A variety of pathways are on offer. We are offering seventeen subjects, which includes nine facilitating subjects, a group of subjects that are frequently required for entry to degree courses, typically courses that run at Russell Group universities. In addition, we have a further eight subjects that are also academic and some with a creative learning.
