An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our successful Academy Trust as an Assistant Finance Manager. You will be joining our friendly, professional Central Maritime team, based at Ebbsfleet Green Primary School in Ebbsfleet. We are looking for a team player to join our finance department. You will enjoy the challenges a busy environment brings and will form an integral part in the service we provide to the schools in our Trust.

The hours are 37 per week, all year round, however we are willing to be flexible, and there is the opportunity to work from home 1 day a week. 

We created Maritime in 2016 and since then, our trust has grown in strength, capacity and expertise. Maritime Academy Trust is a group of 11 primary schools including one special school. We are passionate about breaking barriers for children and helping them realise they are capable of incredible things. Your role will be to support the delivery of a centralised finance function to the Trust and its academies and supporting academy level administrative functions.

You will be required to:   

  • Support the CFO and Finance Managers with regards to accounting adjustments.
  • Be the key link between the School Office staff and the central team leading on all finance admin functions.
  • Ensure financial regulatory and compliance.

You will have: 

  • Proven experience of working in a busy school office.     
  • Experience of providing administrative support in an office environment.      
  • Knowledge of using databases and all aspects of school Management Information Systems.      
  • Specific previous experience of PS Financials and Bromcom would be desirable but full training will be given.
