We are seeking to appoint a Facilities Assistant to join our dynamic Facilities Team. This role would suit someone who is confident regarding site security, has a working knowledge of and competence in general maintenance, grounds maintenance and DIY, and is experienced in hydrotherapy pool maintenance or is willing to undertake training.

Other duties will include receiving deliveries, ad-hoc cleaning, and routine safety checks. Ideally, the successful candidate will also be able to drive the school’s minibuses. It is important that the post holder is able to work comfortably and confidently within a special needs school environment.

It is expected that the post holder will be available to work on a shift system between 0700 and 1800, 4 days a week all year round and up to 2200 once a week during term time only if required. In addition, the post holder must be available for call-out at evenings and weekends if required on a shift system. However, we are flexible and can negotiate on this.

The Meadowfield Inclusion Development and Support (MIDAS) Centre is our highly regarded inclusion and outreach service which successfully supports 57 schools and 73 early years settings across Swale, increasing capacity to meet the needs of pupils with additional needs.

Across the school we have approximately 270 members of staff ranging from class based support staff, teachers, the Inclusion Team, Office and Admin Staff, Site Staff, ICT Department as well as our Leadership and Management Team.
