We are looking for staff who have a passion for leading teaching & learning through coaching & collaboration to continue our journey in shaping the most vibrant and engaging school possible. We have two wonderful opportunities for the right candidates looking for the next step in their career. You may currently be working on your NPQSL or other leadership pathway and seek an opportunity to apply this learning. The positions are for a Senior Teacher and can be part time on a 0.6 contract, which is non class based, or full time with a 0.4 teaching commitment. We would welcome applications for full or part time contracts. You will be given the time and space to be responsible for the development of teaching & learning, coaching and operational running of a phase, gaining valuable senior leadership experience. The post will be paid competitively on the Upper pay range and directly related to skills and experience.

Tours of the school and informal discussions with the Principal can be arranged via the school office and are encouraged.

St Mary’s is a two‑form entry Church of England primary in the heart of coastal Folkestone, known for its warm welcome, high expectations and inclusive ethos. Set within extensive grounds - with Forest School, a pond area and well‑equipped EYFS outdoor learning spaces - our curriculum is rich, ambitious and alive with real experiences.

We invest in high‑quality adult–child interactions in EYFS and strong classroom practice across the school. Pupils benefit from a wide range of enrichment: specialist clubs in the arts and sport, swimming for all KS2, educational visits linked to topics, and a local sports partnership. Pastoral support is proactive and joined‑up, with close work between our Pastoral Lead, SENCo and external agencies.
