We are looking for an inspirational SENCO who would relish the opportunity to ensure our academically able students are supported, engaged and inspired in their learning. The successful candidate will have a passion for SEND and experience in supporting vulnerable children. A NASENCO qualification is desired.

Key responsibilities of the job include:

  • Determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school
  • Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability
  • Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies
  • The SENCO will be expected to fulfil the responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the STPCD

Dover Grammar School for Boys is a selective school with a school roll of 800 students. Approximately 200 of these are in the Sixth Form. Girls are admitted to the Sixth Form.
