We are looking to appoint an Office Manager who is committed to working in partnership with the Headteacher and senior leadership team, providing comprehensive, high-level administrative support. We are seeking someone with a strong administrative background and a genuine commitment to helping us deploy the resources available to the best effect in a school context.

The successful applicant will have experience of supervising staff and working for a senior manager. They will be responsible for the school's administrative function, clerk to the Local Governing Body and will line manage the ad min team.

The role requires flexibility, tact and problem-solving on a daily basis. Therefore it is essential that applicants are professional, approachable and very effective communicators.

Applicants should be well-educated, preferably to further education level/Level 3, including the minimum of a Level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) in English and maths.

The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate:

  • Experience of working in a school environment/office, preferably at a senior/supervisory level.
  • The ability to take accurate notes of meetings.
  • A smart, professional appearance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines to high standards.
  • Competence to lead on matters related to senior support.
