Finberry Primary School are looking to recruit enthusiastic and hardworking Intervention Teaching Assistants to support individual and small groups of children in class and our Specialist Resource Provision. Our schools is growing and we are excited to expand our team!

The SRP at Finberry is a specialist provision to support pupils with ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition) and has places for up to 14 children. Within this provision, each pupil has an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP). Our intervention teaching assistants offer individualised support and develop strategies with the children in collaboration with the SENCO and Class Teacher to enable children to be successful in the main stream classroom.

We are looking for teaching assistants who:

  • Recognise that our current education system needs to radically change to better prepare our young people for the 21st century
  • Are able to take advantage of the latest technology to support modern, 21st century learning
  •  Want to develop their own practice to meet the needs of an evolving school system
  • Want to develop children as life-long, curious learners
  • Want to build strong relationships with children that facilitate their learning
  • Want to teach in enabling environments that promote flexibility, collaboration and independence

This role is:

  • Term time only working
  • 30hrs per week
  • Monday to Friday - 8:45am- 3:30pm (the headteacher has discretion to adapt these times, specific times will be discussed at interview)
  • Paid at pro rata'd KR3 - approximately £12,520 gross (43 paid weeks to include 5 weeks holiday pay). 

Please note this role is attached funding and therefore will be a temporary contract subject to annual review on 31st August 2023. If the funding is removed or reduced the contract may change before the review date.

Location: Ashford, Kent, UK - Finberry Primary School is a growing primary school - A large, purpose-built site in Finberry Village, the school has an on-site nursery for 2,3 and 4 year olds and also hosts a Specialist Resource Provision dedicated for children with a primary need type of Autism.
