We are looking for an apprentice premises assistant to work with us 4 days a week whilst undertaking studies alongside. The hours of work are 8.30 to 4pm all year round with 28 days holiday.

The apprentice will work closely with our Site and Health &Safety Manager, to ensure that the school building and grounds are kept in a safe and secure condition, responsibilities may include; 

  • Providing customer service to internal and external customers to ensure the effective delivery of a range of facilities services
  • Support the delivery of facilities projects
  • Locking and unlocking of buildings at pre-determined times
  • Undertaking general portage duties including moving furniture and equipment within school
  • Periodic cleaning of designated areas of the school building and grounds according to instructions
  • Address facilities related risks, hazards and threats to people, property and premises

The school will provide a friendly environment for the apprentice to learn and gain their Level 2 Certificate in Facilities Services Principles. The apprenticeship will be for 18 months. 

The successful applicant will need an Enhanced DBS check to comply with our Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment Policy.  This will be processed by us.
