Coppice Primary Partnership is a growing Multi Academy Trust comprising 3 primary schools. We are looking for a person to join our central team as Governance Professional who will be responsible for advising the trustees on constitutional matters, duties and powers and will work within the broad current legislative framework. The main roles are to:

  • be part of the central support team in the trust
  • design and develop governance arrangements,
  • support strategic and operational planning and communications linked to governance
  • be the designated lead on statutory compliance areas.
  • line manage the clerk to the Local Governing Body.

This highly attractive opportunities offer significant flexibility regarding working patterns. Applicants should note that the Governance Professional will involve some working outside of the school day due to Trustee and committee meetings usually starting at 1700/1730. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed. The post holder will work closely with the Trust Leader, and other members of the Trust Executive Team to establish strong administration functions allowing educational staff to focus on securing the highest possible standards for all children.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with a proven record of building strong relationships and credibility at senior level. They will have GCSE English and Maths grades A-C or equivalent, excellent IT and written skills and experience of working within a senior administration role. Ideally the candidate will have a mixed skill set and be looking to work within an educational organisation that will provide significant opportunities to give back to society and improve the life chances for local children.

The Trust office is based at Loose Primary School. Meetings are held at all schools in the trust and the successful candidate(s) will be responsible for travel to these locations for which travel expenses will be paid where appropriate. The roles have the potential to grow with the trust in the future and this can be discussed at interview.
