We are looking to appoint a highly motivated professional to take on the role ASD Support Assistant (SSA), to join our talented and supportive team. You should be a positive and enthusiastic person who loves working with children and helps them to strive for their best.

This is a new role for our school and we are looking for someone highly skilled to complement our Inclusion Team. Whilst we would like someone who is experienced and highly skilled in ASD - what really matters is the mindset. We want someone who has high expectations of all children and views learners as individuals. You will be an adept problem-solver, seeking solutions to overcome challenges and improve the learning experiences of all children on the  autism spectrum at our school.

Your numeracy and literacy skills will be strong enough to improve children's standards. You will be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, have a flexible attitude, good sense of humour and be friendly and approachable. All relevant training will be given to the right candidate.

This role will require you to work one-to-one with selected pupils and because of your expertise, others will be able to observe you in practice and learn from your work.

We will consider part-time applications to form a post share opportunity.

If you are interested in the role, please contact Alex Devlin with an expression of interest, outlining how your experience, knowledge and skills meet the person specification. a.devlin@ladyj.kent.sch.uk
