Sturry Primary School are looking for an Admin Officer to oversee the school reception, working in collaboration with the existing Office Manager.

The successful applicant should be enthusiastic and hardworking. They will be the face of Sturry Primary School, providing a welcoming, professional reception to all children, parents, carers, staff and visitors. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential as this role involves being the first point of call for all visitors to the school office as well as for any incoming calls. They will also be responsible for supporting the administration associated with school admissions, attendance and some data management. There is also an element of electronic filing to support the Trust Central HR department.

Candidates will need:
- a positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively/perform as part of a wider team

- a positive approach to working with children and a commitment to our safeguarding procedures

- a friendly, flexible and professional approach, particularly when multi-tasking under pressure
- a strong work ethic
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- strong literacy and numeracy skills (ideally English and Maths GCSE Level 4-5 / Grade C or above - or  CSE/O Level equivalent)
- strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Teams
- to be highly confidential with all matters
- to be well organised, highly flexible and have excellent interpersonal skills
- the ability to prioritise workload to ensure office systems operate efficiently for the smooth running of the school

Essential information:
Start date: ASAP - subject to references/DBS
Working pattern: - Monday - Friday - 8:00am - 4pm (37 hours per week)
Term time only working plus 5 days during school holidays (days will be agreed in advance with line manager)

Training: Training and development days may be off site at other schools therefore willingness to travel for these days and access to transport is essential
