Finberry Primary School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking Teaching Assistant to support children with Behaviour Emotional & Social Needs as part of the school's Nurture Team. The ideal person will have a proven track record of managing a full range of challenging behaviours and a working knowledge of Boxall Nurture group strategies.

32.5 hours per week, 43 paid weeks per year (38 working weeks - term time + 5 weeks holiday). Pro rata'd salary on KR4 will be approximately £14,336 gross

The successful candidate will be working in a nurture group classroom and specialist resource provision in addition to supporting pupils in the mainstream classes. The post will involve:

  • Delivering well-being interventions
  • Continual assessment of social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Effective and regular liaison with other professionals
  • Supporting transitions from the nurture group and specialist resource provision to the mainstream classrooms
  • Delivering lessons under the guidance of the SENCo and class teacher
