If you can answer yes to any of the above then this could be an exciting role for you!

We are seeking to employ an Academic Mentor in Mathematics. You will work closely with our dedicated Subject Leader to identify students with gaps in their learning across all years and then work with these students in small groups and on an individual basis to move them forward. You do not need detailed experience of the secondary curriculum, just a good background knowledge of the subject and a willingness to learn. 

In addition, the successful candidate will also provide support as a Cover Supervisor through covering lessons in all subject areas around the timetabled Mathematics sessions. 

The post is for 34 hours per week (21 hrs as Academic Mentor and 13 hrs as Cover Supervisor) and the contract is term time only (39 weeks per year). The working pattern is 08:30 - 16:00 on Monday to Thursday and 08:30 - 15:00 on a Friday . The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed term contract until the end of the academic year 2022/23.
