BEHAVIOUR MENTOR

27.5 hours a week, Term Time Only

(Monday - Friday 10.30 am - 4.30 pm, includes 30 minute unpaid lunch break)

How would you like to work for a school that provides a supportive and friendly environment?

We are excited to be in a position to recruit to our Alternative Curriculum Team at the Secondary School.  The successful candidate would be expected to support pupils who are facing difficulties in school because of issues related to social, emotional, personal, behavioural problems or other factors.  To help these pupils overcome thier barriers to learning and engage with lessons to become more effective learners, and to improve academic and pastoral progress. 

As a Behaviour Mentor you will:

  • Work across our Behaviour for Learning Unit and Alternative Curriculum Unit.
  • Work with small groups of pupils to ensure they continue to have sufficient learning
  • Work with pupils to reintegrate them into their main learning environment
  • Promote a positive and calm environment
  • Liaise with outside agencies to ensure the school has up to date information in regard to the pupils in alternative provision

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A grade 4/5 GCSE in English and Mathematics or equivalent
  • Experience within a similar role
  • Knowledge of procedures for alternative curriculum provision
