Assistant Schools Business Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and solution focussed individual who has experience of working within Finance setting within a school and is aspiring to be a School Business Manager.

We are hoping to appoint someone who is keen to develop their career and has either already started or would be willing to undertake the Level 4 Diploma of Schools Business Management.

A key part of this role will be to assist the School Business Manager with leading on all the logistical aspects of running a school such as Finance, HR & Facilities Management

The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day operation of the school’s finance, payroll administration and site team.

Previous experience in school finance and the use of SIMS FMS6 is essential. Experience of payroll systems would also be an advantage. You will need strong financial skills, be proficient in the use of MS Excel spreadsheets and have excellent team working skills, with the ability to work to demanding deadlines.

The successful candidate will be a confident, resilient and highly skilled individual with an approachable and friendly personality. They will be dedicated and committed to the vision, values and ethos of Laleham Gap School and will be continually forward-thinking and solution focused to ensure the school continues to operate smoothly. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills alongside a high level of integrity is essential.

This post is for 37 hours per week – Term Time Only Plus 2 additional weeks to be worked during school holidays

Laleham Gap is a Communication and Interaction Special School. We have pupils aged from 4 to 18 years of age. Most of our pupils have a diagnosis of Autism. All pupils have an EHCP. Most pupils will achieve some GCSEs or equivalent at age 16. Laleham Gap is a new, high quality and well-resourced environment and the opportunity to work with an established, experienced and highly motivated team.
