We have a vacancy for an Administrative Assistant at our school.

Foreland Fields is a specialist school based in a new state-of-the-art building. The school offers excellent on site facilities including specialist rooms and a hydrotherapy pool. The school caters for 250+ pupils aged 3 – 19 years.

Foreland Fields School is innovative and forward thinking, placing great emphasis on the development of all staff in order to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.

The ideal candidate will have the relevant skills and abilities to provide high quality administrative support to the school office, School Business Manager, Headteacher and Deputy Headteachers.

The successful candidate will:

Be smart, cheerful and well-spoken so that they project a suitably professional image of the school.
Be methodical and well organised.
Be committed to team development and team working so that a positive working atmosphere is maintained.
Have excellent IT skills including a good knowledge of Word and Excel. Knowledge of SIMS would be desirable. Willingness to explore a range of software with a view to making the school even more efficient and effective.
Display high level administrative skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Totally committed to working in a confidential and discrete manner due to the sensitive nature of many of the duties of the role.

Information about the school

Foreland Fields School is a Day Special School for pupils with Profound, Severe and Complex Needs (PSCN), many of whom also have Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

We provide for 200+ pupils aged 3-19 in five departments, Nursery, Infants, Juniors (KS2) Secondary (KS3) and KS4/6th Form. In addition, we have satellite classes at Garlinge Primary School, Hartsdown Academy and East Kent College.
