We have a vacancy for a Site Operative at our school. 

Foreland Fields is a specialist school based in a new state-of-the-art building. The school offers excellent on site facilities including specialist rooms and a hydrotherapy pool. The school caters for 250+ pupils aged 3 – 19 years.

Foreland Fields School is innovative and forward thinking, placing great emphasis on the development of all staff in order to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.

The ideal candidate will have the relevant skills and abilities to carry out general repairs and maintenance around the school, inside and out. They will have a good knowledge of related Health and Safety procedures and understand and be able to apply Health and Safety procedures relevant to the job such as risk assessment, manual handling, working at heights and COSHH.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to display the relevant skills and abilities to manage a range of varied tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Be able to recognise and to deal with emergency situations.
  • Be committed to effective team working, with a proven ability to work independently using own initiative.
  • Be committed to personal development and show a commitment to training in order to develop their knowledge and experience.

Information about the school

Foreland Fields School is a Day Special School for pupils with Profound, Severe and Complex Needs (PSCN), many of whom also have Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

We provide for 200+ pupils aged 3-19 in five departments, Nursery, Infants, Juniors (KS2) Secondary (KS3) and KS4/6th Form. In addition, we have satellite classes at Garlinge Primary School, Hartsdown Academy and East Kent College.
